Football Is Coming To Sony’s Console

Today, Sony and DirecTV are partnering up to bring NFL Sunday Ticket to the PlayStation Network. When the season starts, PS3 owners who don’t already have a NFL Sunday Ticket subscription can download the PS3 app and subscribe for a whopping $339.95. If you already have a NFL Sunday Ticket subscription, you will still have to spend $50 and use the PS3 as an additional receiver.

According to a PlayStation Blog post, NFL Sunday Ticket includes…

  • Up to 14 NFL games every Sunday
  • Full HD for every football game
  • DIRECTV’s Red Zone Channel

Seems like a steep price to watch your favorite team, but there are plenty of people that will front the money for their football. Just another advantage Sony has taken on the market lately.

Skyward Sword Release Date Set

One of Nintendo’s biggest franchises and biggest titles to come to the Wii this year, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword finally has a release date of November 20th! This will make it so the game is released this year, the 25th anniversary of the original Legend of Zelda. It will be nice for Nintendo fan boys to be able to play this during their Thanksgiving breaks instead of waiting for Christmas, or even worse next year.

“The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the biggest game in the series yet,” Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing announced. “We’ve just scratched the surface of this massive experience, and we look forward to sharing additional details with fans as we approach the Nov. 20 launch.”

Here is to Link’s next adventure and the first big game for Nintendo in awhile.
